THIS SPRING IS ALL ABOUT COLOUR!

Despite the recent chilly weather, it won’t be long until spring arrives at your doorstep.  Then your old grey pullovers will have done their winter service and can once again disappear into the closet.  After all, one thing is certain: This spring is bursting with colour!  Not only will fresh and exciting colour combinations be sought after in clothing, but the hair and makeup palette will also venture beyond understated earth tones.

With its new colour range, IGORA IMAGINE, Schwarzkopf Professional has pinpointed the trends of the coming season.  Drawing upon influences in art and design, a team of experts have developed extraordinary shades and brand new colour techniques that guarantee you will make a bold statement.  The first palette has the theme of “makeup” in the foreground.  Renowned makeup artist Tyron Machhausen, who has made a name for himself in the beauty world with his skill and artistic eye for colour, structure and detail, played a decisive role in its development.  Two new key looks have been created to encapsulate the current colour trend.  “Rebel Mix” and “Urban Fairy” are based upon the new IGORA IMAGINE cendré-chocolate hair colour range and enhanced by almond and caramel shades.  These new trend colours for hair are available exclusively at your Schwarzkopf salon. Tyron then created bold makeup compositions to suit these looks, whose dynamic, vivid palette creates a thirst for colour.

The King of Colour – Tyron Machhausen

“Colour is to me a form of nonverbal communication.  Colour creates limitless possibilities for expressing emotion and individuality.  They become a positive means of expression – through which we can bring out our personality in an inspiring way”, describes Machhausen, who lives in New York.

Tyron Machhausen studied jewellery design in Germany.  He then discovered his interest in colour while accompanying a makeup artist friend to Milan for Fashion Week.  The transformation of the models by the hand of the makeup artist fascinated him and ignited his passion for makeup, so he began to develop his own characteristic style of colouring.  After working in Milan, in 2001 Tyron became beauty director of the Berlin-based international lifestyle magazine, QVEST.  From there, he followed his dream and became beauty editor of TUSH magazine in New York, where he quickly established himself as one of the most talented and creative artists in the field and collaborated regularly with star photographers.  His creations can be seen in well known fashion magazines, and Naomi Campbell and Elizabeth Hurley count among his many prominent clients.  Above all, Tyron Machhausen believes the special appeal to his career is that he has the chance to give his fantasies free rein.  Here he can fulfil his wish to be surrounded by artistic and inspiring people.

Don’t Forget To Protect Your Colour

Although we know to take a moment after a night to remove makeup with remover and cotton pads, it is equally as important to take steps to ensure that hair colour stay looking fresh.  Therefore, is essential to give your colour the right care.  We recommend consulting your hairdresser for the best care products to preserve colour and ensure long lasting brilliance.  The experts from Schwarzkopf Professional, for example, have developed the new Color Save range from BC Hairtherapy, which is extremely gentle to colour pigments.  Particularly innovative is the BC Color Save Shampoo; sulfates which are normally used in shampoos as cleansing substances are substituted here with an anionic foaming substance to cleanse hair gently and thoroughly without affecting the colour.  Tensides which are gentle to pigments additionally increase colour lastingness.  The entire BC Color Save line also features tropical moringa oleifera extracts to condition and regenerate hair as well as protect the hair structure from environmental effects.  The amino acid glycine, already incorporated into BC hairtherapy technology, penetrates deep into the hair’s inner cortex to repair the internally damaged hair structure.  A UV filter prevents colour from fading and harmful UV rays.
