Whether holiday party, fancy dinner or opera ball: Special occasions call for a more dramatic hairstyle. This month’s “holiday chic” updo is guaranteed to turn heads.


Hair type: thick
Hair length: shoulder-length
Hair structure: straight or slightly wavy

Styling
    
Work styling mousse (e.g., Push Up Look from Taft Looks) into towel-dried hair, then create a side part. Wrap hair into fat rollers and blow or let air dry. After removing curlers, do not comb – simply loosen curls with your fingers. Then pull back hair at the sides secure loosely in back with hairpins. Then set with hairspray or hair lacquer (e.g., Titan Look from Taft Looks).


Makeup

Dark hair: Try a “Snow White” look, i.e. dark eye shadow, volume mascara, light foundation and rose-coloured lipstick.

Light brown or blonde hair: If you have a rosy complexion, apply a touch of rouge, pink lipstick, brown eye shadow and mascara. Shape eyebrows with a brown brow pencil.

Tip: Only apply mascara to the upper lids; this brings out the eyes.
