What is an Institute for Color Dynamics?

Our institute is a private research and consulting company. The basis of our work is dedicated to the holistic way of perceiving color.

What do you mean by a “way of perceiving?”

Color is thought of as an interdisciplinary scientific field. Our offerings are arranged accordingly—from a clinic for color psychology to the development of certain color systems for products, such as household appliances, etc. Color plays a role in all areas of life.

Subconsciously as well?

Yes, because color is, next to symbolism and body language, the clearest and most recognizable language of the subconscious. We base our consultations upon this principle, and, through a selection of colors, the color test on womensnet provides you with a small mirror into your character.

Does the non-visual also play a role?

A holistic way of perceiving includes the use of all one’s senses, such that feelings as well as hearing, taste and smell all have direct access to color.

Is our womensnet fragrance consultation also based upon this idea?

Definitely. Certain character types prefer certain fragrance groups.

Furthermore, these same types are also drawn to particular color combinations and repelled by others. By using color as an intermediary step, we can show the visitors to your internet site some things about their idiosyncrasies and also provide them with a fragrance recommendation.

Do you also offer seminars?

Yes. Training is also one of our foundations, so we offer many lectures on color, as well as corporate-specific light and color seminars (all in German). We are also responsible for the organization and direction of the International Color Academy (ICA). The actual training takes place here.All training begins with the foundational seminar, PHENOMENON COLOR. After one participates in this seminar, color will no longer mean just color. Then the main component begins: the 2½ year training with final examination to become an accredited Color Consultant ICA. Further fields of training include, among others, the Living Color Consultant (with computer test license), used primarily by interior decorators and designers, painters, etc.New to our program is the Home and Living Space Consultant, who also draws upon astrology and geomancy.The foundational seminar PHENOMENON COLOR is also recommended as a single seminar for anyone who is interested in color.

About the experts:

Gerd Schilling, 44, has a professional background in interior design. The professional roots of Inge Schilling, 53, are in glass painting. Both completed training at the end of the 1970’s as color consultants (Dipl.) with courses from Dr. H. Frieling in Salzburg. From 1981 until 1987, both worked at the Institute for Color Dynamics/Institut für Farbenpsychologie(IFP) of Dr. H. Frieling in Marquartstein/Stuttgart and subsequently took over its direction. In 1989, it became the Institute for Color Dynamics/Institut für Farbendynamik (IFF).
