SEPTEMBER 2003: WOMENSNET RECEIVES HIGHEST GRADE OF “GOOD” IN EXPERT STUDY, “KOSMETIK ONLINE 2003”
In the expert study from the Netaspect institute, “Kosmetik Online 2003,” 18 cosmetic websites in all were tested from July to September 2003 according to 20 test criteria. Only 4 sites scored “good.” 14 received the grades “satisfactory” and “adequate.”
Womensnet.de/.at was ranked for the first time among the four “positive exceptions” (quote: institute), earning the best score of “good.” The testers gave the internet information and advice portal from Schwarzkopf & Henkel, which has been available to consumers in its new format since 2002, the grades “good” and “very good” on the basis of the following criteria: design, navigation structure and clarity, comprehensibility, editorial content, how well it is kept up-to-date, ability to be located by search engines, opportunities for contact with other users, interactivity, ability to reach its target audience, as well as technical implementation.
From the overall evaluation:
“The womensnet website was rated in this study as the third best website overall. The site was particularly convincing through its extensive editorial content, good web design and ease of navigation. The site is also very easy to find through internet search engines and well implemented technically. It has a clear layout and offers (registered users) several interactive offerings, such as a forum or chat room, next to a multitude of consultation offerings. […] Overall, the site has greatly improved since the last test in the study, “Kosmetik Online 2001,” and offers registered users an abundance of interesting and entertaining information.”  - Zum den Gesamtnoten im Überblick
