What is your skin type?

Test I: Internal Pressure of Cells (Turgor)

Gently grasp the skin under your eyes between your thumb and forefinger. Does it quickly bounce back? Perfect—the internal pressure of your cells is in top form! If a vertical crease forms, your turgor is somewhat decreased. But there’s no reason to fret: A visit to the cosmetician will bring your turgor in order! Your skin simply requires natural moisture factors (e.g. collagen) and water-binding substances. Treat yourself to a day of beauty!

Test II: Elastic Tension of Skin (Tonus)

Our skin should be firm. But does this really mean? Check your tonus and you will understand! Grasp your skin with thumb and forefinger at your jaw line. Is it difficult to lift up? Great, you have an optimum tonus! If, however, the skin is easy to draw up, the skin tension is poor. But don’t worry: The elastic connective tissue can easily be enhanced! Do a lot of facial gymnastics—your skin’s natural protective acid mantle with love you for it! Here’s another tip: Use skin care products with a specially formulated collagen activator.
